Serpent de Manlleu adalah legenda dari kota Manlleu di Osona. Ular di hutan Devesa itu berambut panjang dan memakai intan besar berkilau di kepalanya, yang hanya dilepasnya saat minum di sungai. Seorang pemuda merebut intan itu, lari dikejar sang ular, dan menyembunyikannya di bawah lesung terbalik di sebuah rumah. Legenda ini dicatat dalam bentuk lagu, dan salinan tulisan tangan Jacint Verdaguer tentangnya tersimpan di arsip Obra del Cançoner Popular. The Serpent de Manlleu is a legend of the town of Manlleu in Osona. The serpent of the Devesa woods had long hair and a large shining diamond on its head, which it took off only to drink at the river. A youth seized the diamond, fled with the serpent in pursuit and hid it under an upturned mortar in a house. The legend survives as a song, and Jacint Verdaguer's handwritten transcription of it is kept in the archive of the Obra del Cançoner Popular. The core of every version runs thus: the Serpent, as big as a farmhouse and crowned with a diamond in its thick hair, coils round the mortar hiding its diamond until it bursts from the effort. Some versions add an epilogue in which the diamond is offered to the Virgin. Many people of Manlleu tell the legend, among them Domènec Torrent i Garriga and Esteve Gaja i Molist. Every 14 August Manlleu holds the Festa del Serpent to keep the legend alive.
